We are currently looking for a spontaneous student, who would be able to start even in November or December 2020.
You assist our R&D engineers in their current projects for our Separation Technology division
(http://www.sulzer.com/en/Products-and-Services/Separation-Technology) and our Polymer division (https://www.sulzer.com/en/products/process-plants/polymer-production-technology).
The R&D projects include all steps from the concept phase to a market-ready product: the first
prototype, experiments, data evaluation and finally the reporting. The major part of your time will be
dedicated to experimental work, i.e. testing equipment in hydraulic test rigs, absorbers, distillation
columns and phase separators. You will also help to maintain and improve our test facilities or even
design your own new test rig.
Your assignment will be adjusted to your interests and capabilities as good as possible.
We look for excellent students with a solid understanding of thermodynamics and mass transfer.
Experience with programming, CAD (e.g. Solidworks) and/or process automation (e.g. Labview) would be beneficial.
Beside a solid theoretical basis, we also appreciate basic mechanical skills.
