Description
Topic – End-of-Life Lithium-ion Batteries (LIB):
The acceleration on the way to a more sustainable energy transition involves the need of metals. Lithium-ion batteries contain some of these important metals and their demand is expected to grow exponentially in the coming years. Therefore their recycling will be an essential part towards a climate-neutral circular economy.
Our group – Critical Materials and Resource Efficiency:
An area of research in our group focus on the development of processes to recover key materials and metals in end-of-life LIB. The group works in close collaboration with industry partners and tries to close the recycling loop with sustainable processes.
Job:
You will support on the different ongoing experiments, which involves e.g., material characterization and chemical analysis of the recovered materials.
